Rates vary depending on the level of care needed. Medicare covers post-hospitalization, and short-term skilled care. Private payments and insurances are accepted, and Medicaid covers residents who meet participation requirements for long term care.
No. Many people need nursing care for the first time after a sudden hospitalization, such as from a fall or stroke and return home after undergoing rehabilitation. We also encourage our residents to participate in the Facility's group outings and to visit with family and friends whenever possible.
Skilled nursing is a service provided under the direction of a physician, by trained individuals such as Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and physical, speech, and occupational therapists. Services can be provided short term for rehab from an illness or injury, or long term for patients who need frequent or around-the-clock care due to a chronic medical condition.
We recommend 5-7 loose fitting outfits that you will be comfortable in. Residents and families are encouraged to personalize their room with pictures, mementos and other items that make for a homey atmosphere. We do not recommend that residents keep valuable items such as expensive jewelry and large sums of money in their rooms.
Yes. Staffing is determined by the size and layout of the nursing facility, the number of residents, the level of care required to meet the needs of the residents, and medical orders.
